Federtrasporti was founded in Bologna in 1971, with the intent of providing economic and legal support to affiliated logistics companies, who were proud to improve their own organizations by joining and increasing their competitiveness. Such targets have been largely reached over the past years. Nowadays, this organization has turned into a more articulated system, working along the whole supply chain.
Federtrasporti’s main goal consists in exploiting the strenght deriving from associating, through the professional experience of about 60 logistics and haulage companies, to operate in any markets and to access any financial tools needed to invest in the most suitable logistics facilities. A miscellaneous reality rich in various traditions, under a sole brand and a unique strategy.
Although mutuality represents Federtrasporti’s inspiring force and entrepreneurship its management concepts, health, safety and environment awareness are the pillars on which any of the activities are based, through sound procedures Uni En Iso 9001, 14.001, 45001 and SQAS assessed. Around 1000 hours’ training sessions are held every year to spread and reinforce such values.
Federtrasporti consists of four primary companies, each of them with a specific role: Associazione, drawing the Group strategies and caring for the relations with public institutions; Federtrasporti, representing the logistics and haulage operating framework; Federservice, committed to providing collateral services to Members and to subscribing technical and financial group agreements in their favour; Federfin, operating as the funding body and estate tool of the Group
